Bangkok’s street food needs no introduction from us, but did you know our ‘hood’s home to some insanely tasty international eateries too? From swanky Italians specialising in Naples-approved pizzas to high-end Japanese dining rooms and Mediterranean deli delights in a sun-soaked courtyard, our patch of Sukhumvit is renowned for its trailblazing trattorias, izakayas and alfresco oases.

When the sun goes down, Bangkok ups the ante. Strike out into the sticky night and soak up worldfamous Sukhumvit’s selection of brooding speakeasies, speciality bars (Japanese karaoke or a gin distillery, anyone?), craft ales in the clouds and wine cellars with attitude. Who needs a lobby bar when Asia’s best after-dark scene is right on our doorstep?

Not all massages are created equally. Remember that when wading through the streets of carbon-copy and occasionally salacious— shopfronts. Instead, head to one of the many salubrious spa outfits that dot the Suk strip and its side streets. Expect to unearth Japanese onsens, deep-relaxation therapy rooms and reinvigorating Thai massage spots (of course!) where pampering is paramount.

You know what they say about shopping centers? If you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them (m)all…. Okay, that was terrible. But this doesn’t actually apply to Bangkok’s ever-expanding brood of small and supersized malls. Each offers something totally different—from luxury brand names and international restaurant chains swathed in glorious AC to themed venues housing boutique Thai vendors and VR arcades.
